Maggie Cullen

Maggie Cullen has become an unavoidable reference for a new generation of artists who approach roots-based repertoire with a distinctive, personal perspective. In her repertoire, the artist traces a musical map that spans key works and authors of Argentine and Latin American culture, alongside her own compositions. She won the Gardel Award for Best Folk Album for her debut record, ‘Canciones del viento’, and is now presenting her second CD, ‘Décimas’, produced by Popi Spatocco and featuring collaborations with Kevin Johansen, Raly Barrionuevo, among others. In this new work, Cullen delves deeper into her role as a composer, while also revisiting some of the authors who influenced her as an artist.
