La Pucci, a singer, songwriter, and backing vocalist from Madrid, has stood out for her great versatility and originality in the Spanish music scene. As the official backing vocalist for Manuel Carrasco and the voice of the now-defunct duo Sweet Barrio, she has just released her first solo album, Agüita de Madrid.
This nine-track album exudes freshness and authenticity, blending flamenco with genres such as rap, jazz, and hip-hop. Pre-produced in the intimacy of her room and the courtyards of her hometown in Badajoz, the album comes to life in collaboration with producers Ismael Guijarro and Juan Guevara, who have managed to preserve that intimate warmth and transform it into an urban and contemporary sound.
The album cover (an illustration by artist Claro de Luna), which features the tiles from her own bathroom, is a true artistic statement: La Pucci elevates the everyday to the level of art and pays tribute to the simplest and most familiar aspects of life with this irreverent and provocative project.
